2.4.1 Unix

This section covers all Unix and Unix-like platforms which run X-windows. Some platforms which use the SVGA library for display on the console (sans X-windows) may also be covered.

In general, you can use the instructions in this section to configure and build freeRaider for Linux, BSD, Irix, etc.

• Install Crystal Space first and follow the build instructions of CrystalSpace.
• Create a link in the apps directory of CS. Name it `fr' and link it to the `FR' directory, whereever you have downloaded it.
• Issue a make frall and you should be done.
• Now add the vfs entry in `CS/vfs.cfg'.

  VFS.Mount.lib/fr = $@apps$/fr$/apps$/freeraid$/data$/, $@apps$/fr$/apps$/freeraid$/data$/frmap.zip, $@apps$/fr$/apps$/freeraid$/data$/frhud.zip, $@apps$/fr$/apps$/freeraid$/data$/frsound.zip

• Run ./scfreg fr*.so in `CS/'.
• Run it.
